Filed Under: Seo Basics, SEO for Your Website

The keywords Meta tag

This is one of the three things that you have to work with, that aren’t directly seen by users on the web page.
But the work for the search engine spiders and visitors from these Search Engine results Page.

Now some people mistakenly think that the keywords meta tag has no longer influence on your ranking in search engines.

Mistakenly?
Yes, because you really still need them en for your results as well..
The meta tag "keywords" is not so Important anymore as it was in the "old" days of SEO.
This is largely due to people who were spamming the Search Engine results by Keyword stuffing, which means repeating your keyword over and over again.

Meta tag Keywords

As mentioned has this meta tag less power then it used to, especially with Google and, If used in the wrong way can even hurt your ranking….

You keywords now a days HAVE to really be directly on topic with the article on the page.
In fact You should first wright the page and take your keywords directly from the article.
This way the relevance of your keywords is 100% and you will not be punished, even rewarded because you have taken the time to complete your page on all levels.

The search engine spiders and index algorithm recognize these efforts and will promoot your site.

One thing you really should NOT do is take highly searched keywords that have nothing to do with your topic an weave them into your text and keywords.

This kind of attracting visitors is really not done and Search Engine Algorithms quickly identify these practices and will Ban you from there index!
